Primrose

 Easy to grow
English primroses are easy to grow, asking only for well-amended, well-draining soil, a sunny spot (dappled sun in inland areas) and regular water.

Spectacular color
Cheerful English primroses provide almost the whole spectrum of color, from saturated tones of red, yellow and blue, to shades of rose, purple, copper, cream and white. Each plant forms a rosette of leaves and large clusters of blooms on short stems up to 8 inches tall.

Primroses need a partially shaded in well-drained, rich soil. Sprinkle pine straw mulch over them if the temperatures take a severe drop.
